September saw the opening of the new building addition to the school, featuring flexible classrooms and lab spaces, a library, and administrative offices. The site in Key Biscayne has a beautiful array of one- to two-story classroom buildings, a parish hall, and a church. The new addition was placed behind the existing church to minimize its visual impact on the main street and the surrounding low-scale residential neighborhood. While respectful and contextual, the architecture proposes a modern addition with a steel structure, large cantilevers, and a hurricane-proof resilient design.
